Pinhole Photography Competition 2011

Myrtle Street Studio is celebrating World Pinhole Day in 2011 with an international pinhole photography competition!


Anyone with an avid love of taking pinhole photo’s!

No age limits, international submissions welcome

Both digital and film pinhole photographs qualify for submission but must have been taken after the 1st of January, 2010

How…to enter?

Submissions are to be digital and made by e-mail only.  The submissions should:

  • Be a 300PPI JPEG
  • Saved at the size it will be printed (maximum 29.7cm x 21cm, minimum 12cmx12cm)
  • Include the submission details below for each entry
  • Be e-mailed to with the subject line ‘MSS Pinhole Comp Submission’
  • Be e-mailed between the 1st and 14th of March 2011

The entry fee is $25.00 AUD per image which must be paid upon submission via PayPal to (please include your full name in the notes section)

Submissions made before the 1st of March 2011 or after the 14th of March 2011 along with those which do not meet all the submission criteria will not be included in the competition or exhibition.  Please note that the fee is non-refundable.

Entrants will receive confirmation of their fee payment and submission via return e-mail within 7 days of receipt by Myrtle Street Studio.

All work will be printed to the same standard by a local professional photography lab.

By submitting work to this competition, the entrant (Artist) confirms that they are the sole creator of the work and agree to the use of the work for promotional purposes by Myrtle Street Studio Pty Ltd.  The Artist retains copyright of the work.

Submissions are not for sale, however, if interested parties wish to approach the Artist and the Artist has indicated in their submission that they are happy to be contacted via e-mail with regards to purchasing the work directly from the artist, the Artist’s details will be passed onto the interested party.  Please note that these sales are between the Artist and the buyer and that Myrtle Street Studio will not be involved further in any purchasing made – this includes the handover of goods.

All printed artwork will be destroyed upon completion of the exhibition unless arrangements are made otherwise with Myrtle Street Studio prior to the 16th of April 2011.

Myrtle Street Studio takes no responsibility for theft, loss or damage of works whatsoever.  If you are concerned about this you are advised to take out your own insurance.
