Paper Lanterns in the Park!

August 15, 2010

I can’t believe how far we are into August already!  Have been so busy this last couple of weeks that there has not been a chance to blog but just wanted to pass this on for anyone who is interested…

Burn Loose is a project instigated by Emily Wall and Zoe Ridgeway (two lovely ladies working in the built environment sector) who have set about creating a collaborative project available to students and the general public interested in getting to know more about and participate with a particular place within our local Brisbane setting – namely a small waterhole in Alderley Park near Royal Parade (Kedron Brook).

Next weekend the second of a six part workshop series will be held on site and as part of the day’s events Burn Loose is hosting a Paper Lantern Photography Evening in the Park which I have been involved in organising.  This is an open event so if you are interested in participating, please see the information here at Burn Loose, print yourself a lantern from the sheets below and we’d love to see you there!  Don’t forget to bring your camera and a tripod so that you can shoot some long exposures of these lanterns as they float by – hope you can make it!!
