Construction Begins

Running a little late this week with blogging due to a weekend spent at TINA but I wanted to share with you the exciting news that we have finally started construction!  Due to delays last week the work began in earnest this morning (bright and early at 6.00am) with the carving up and removal of sections of the concrete slab to expose the plumbing underneath.  Once the alterations have been made so that pipes can be added to where we will need them for water and waste downstairs, it will all be sealed up again.  Quite a noisy but very necessary first step in the construction phase, here are some photo’s of this mornings digging:

Will be taking more photo’s of the build as it progresses and will be sharing them here if you want to keep up with how Myrtle Street Studio is coming along!

Thanks Thea, and yes – very exciting! Although not having water is a bit painful too – but all for a good cause.

You’ll get there Jay Dee. The thing I’ve learnt from experiences such as this is that the outcome you’ll end up with will be far beyond what you imagined! So, don’t agonize, just go with the flow!

Thanks KT. Yes, I think just keeping on pushing forward is the very best approach 🙂
